World Models and Virtual Cell

A presentation tracing world models from latent prediction and the JEPA lineage to theory, control, and virtual-cell modeling.

This 30-page presentation follows a path from predictive representation learning to biological world models. It asks how a model can move beyond single-step prediction toward representations of dynamics, interventions, and consequences.

The presentation covers:

  • the foundations and motivation of world models;
  • the JEPA lineage from I-JEPA and V-JEPA to V-JEPA 2 and 2.1;
  • LeJEPA and LeWorldModel as links between theory and control; and
  • Virtual Cell as a biological world model.

Prepared for a presentation on June 24, 2026.
